DEVOTIONAL 90 “No Lack” – Psa 23:1

Psa 23:1 THE LORD is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack.

One of the most beautiful Psalm scriptures in the Bible of God’s Word to hold on to is Psalm 23and most probably every one who is considered to be a Christian, should know this Psalm.

The very first line tells us exactly Who this God is that we serve.  He promises that we shall have no lack of anything in our lives, whether it be a healthy physical body, a stable job, a good marriage, well-behaved positive children, a steady Bank account…. no matter what it is in life that you may need, His promise is that He will provide for you in such a way that you will lack nothing!

This is an amazing promise from God and can also be used as a prayer everyday, confessing over yourself that God will provide for you, and you will indeed not lack anything in any dimension of your life! Trust in God, He is faithful to provide for you!

DEVOTIONAL 89 “Helping Others” – Mat 7:12

Mat 7:12 So then, whatever you desire that others would do to and for you, even so do also to and for them, for this is (sums up) the Law and the Prophets.

Really, the above scripture makes me think a lot about Christians today.  So many times we make excuses for things that we have done wrong and trust the other people to forgive us; but sometimes family members or colleagues or even strangers do things that we don’t like or what they should not do, and then we treat them like garbage because of it.  We judge, criticize, condemn and treat them merciless and with adamant rudeness even not realizing that judgment and the like comes from a negative perception in life (negative thoughts).

The above scripture helps us a lot in how to treat others and it is a good life principle to stand by because it comes from God’s Word.  We should embrace this principle which will help us to live with less criticism and judgment over others.  We should never have a negative thought about others even if they do things that are wrong.  Just go to your inner chamber and pray to God to help them and trust Him to sort them out; then you love them and show them His light…. this is of course not always easy to do, but it is the right thing to do

Let us work together to learn being positive always and not see the negative of people… you don’t know what they are going through so don’t judge too quickly!  Let us love with positive thoughts…

Let us do to others as Christ would do to us.

DEVOTIONAL 88 “Keep the Faith” – Jud 1:20

Jud 1:20 But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit;

There are many scriptures in God’s Word that teach us about having faith and keeping the faith, but one of my favorites is this scripture that we find in Jud 1:20.

He tells us that we are His beloved; and that we should build ourselves up in the holy faith to which your believes are founded upon.  Then He continues to teach us to progress… in other words move forward.  Never stop believing.  Never stop growing in your faith…. don’t quit… persevere and endure!

Also that you should rise like and edifice higher and higher in the spirit and while you do that, stay in faith by praying to the Holy Spirit language of God, which He has blessed you with.

DEVOTIONAL 87 “Fasting” – Ezr 8:21

Ezr 8:21 Then I proclaimed a fast there, at the river Ahava, that we might humble ourselves before our God to seek from Him a straight and right way for us, our little ones, and all our possessions.

Isn’t it wonderful that the Israelite’s had the Prophets to guide them and help them to correct the mistakes they made from time to time?  When Ezra proclaimed a Fast it was for the benefit of everyone who felt that they did something wrong before God.

Even today we sometimes do things knowing that it is wrong and God might not be happy with us.  This is why i believe it is good to do a Fast now and then when you feel that it is necessary to separate yourself with God.  This Fast was done at the River Ahava which also has a spiritual connection to it, because Jesus is the River of Life…. the Fast that God proclaimed for us to have is to FAST FROM SIN!  Read more about Fasting in Isa 58.

I want to encourage you to do a Fast when you feel guided by the Spirit to do so, because it can only bring you closer to God.  I am now at a time of my life where i am coming into the habit of Fasting one day a week, in separation with God.  And it does wonders for my spiritual being and relationship with God; apart from that, it is also very healthy.  Doctors say that if you have not had any food for more than 12 hours, you have fasted.

PS: There are more than 8 Fasts in the Word of God that He blessed us with and if you want to learn more, you can contact us on email at

DEVOTIONAL 86 “Salvation for all” – Act 9:20

Act 9:20 And immediately in the synagogues he proclaimed Jesus, saying, He is the Son of God!  Act 9:21 And all who heard him were amazed and said, Is not this the very man who harassed and overthrew and destroyed in Jerusalem those who called upon this Name? And he has come here for the express purpose of arresting them and bringing them in chains before the chief priests.  Act 9:22 But Saul increased all the more in strength, and continued to confound and put to confusion the Jews who lived in Damascus by comparing and examining evidence and proving that Jesus is the Christ (the Messiah).

As Leaders of churches it is our duty to proclaim the gift of salvation to all who are not saved; but sometimes it is difficult because some people just don’t want to hear about the gospel of Christ.  Nevertheless we should continue to be strengthened by the Holy Spirit’ power to try and help all those who need salvation.

We pray for the unsaved day and night so that they too, can received salvation and live for God and with Him in His Kingdom; just like Paul changed his life from being an unbeliever to becoming one of the most famous disciples of Jesus Christ.

Is there some of your family members that are not saved?  Be encouraged today as Jesus fills your heart with hope – He also wants them to get saved, so keep praying for your family members. God is faithful and they will come into His Kingdom.

DEVOTIONAL 85 “Peace” – Php 4:7

Php 4:7 And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

This amazing scripture tells us that God’s peace shall be with us… and to tell you the truth, i know for a fact there is no other kind of peace like the peace of God.  This Word says that His peace with assure your soul of the great gift of Salvation which you received from Christ.

When you have this peace from God, you will fear nothing from God; and you will be happy with whatever God decides must happen with your life.  This peace is so great that it guards your hearts and also your understanding (mind) in Christ.

Do you not wish to have this kind of peace in your life every second of everyday? …..or are you already there?
